As you may have seen over the past year, I’ve secretly been working on GDS Plus. You may have already seen this brief GDS+ preview video about it. GDS Plus is going to take Game Developer Studio assets to the next level, helping you quickly and easily modify and build new assets, allowing you to move away from the limited flexibility of stock assets.

Although GDS Plus is going to be free, it’s still taking me an enormous amount of time and effort to develop. No doubt, it will need continual upkeep, maintenance, and improvements. Not to mention the extra time it takes to develop art for it. During this time, I've canceled all freelance work and won't be releasing new assets with the usual regularity. As you can imagine, this is pretty damaging to my income. Somebody mentioned a “rod for my own back”. But, the truth is, I’m way too excited about GDS Plus to listen to advice, and I just seem to relish making my life one hundred times more complicated than it needs to be, just for the love of art.

In order to support me through the initial development of GDS Plus and beyond, I've prepared a Patreon-style membership. I’m hoping that the existence of GDS Plus alone is enough of a reward for your patronage, but, Of course, I’ll also be adding extra rewards to make patronage worth your while. Don't worry if you don't wish to become a Patreon; nothing is changing on the site.
